Geelong GalleryThe Geelong Gallery is managed by the Board of the Geelong Art Gallery inc and is one of Victoria's finest galleries. The Gallery building dates back to 1913 with its most recent extension in 1971 and a refurbishment in 2000. The Geelong Gallery is home to a number of significant collections and works on display by prominant Australian and International artists. Two of the most iconic works on display are Frederick McCubbin's 'A Bush Burial' whcih was purchased in 1900 and Eugene von Guerard's 'View of Geelong' purchased in 2006. In addition to the Australian collections there are also collections representing European, Asian and Early Geelong. Many of the works now held for display in the Geelong Gallery have been donated or by public fund raisings.
