Geelong Harmony ChorusSongs at the Supper ClubSunday, 19th October 2008
The Potato Shed in Drysdale will be the venue the Geelong Harmony Chorus has chosed for their show "Songs at the Supper Club" which will be offered during the celebrations for the Seniors Festival in October. The theme of the show has been borrowed from several popular TV series on food - it is described as a "sumptuous smorgasboard of songs", and "a tantalising taste of diva delights" and the show is organized as a "banquet of song", divided into an "appetizer" to start the show, an "entree", "main course", and "dessert". Brackets of songs from the 1930's - 1960's, through to the present day, in costumes of the time, will be presented by groups made up of chorus members plus guests, as well as solo items from guest artists. This show promises to be a sophisticated and professional performance presented by the Geelong Harmony Chorus, (and guests) who recently won a third place medal in their division in the National Sweet Adelines Competition in May in Hobart, and also won fifth place nationally. A matinee on Sunday, 19th October at 2pm will be followed by an evening show at 7.30pm, and bookings can be made at the Potatto Shed, phone 5251 1998 or at any of the City of Greater Geelong Customer Service Outlets.
